In this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us”, or “our” means the ITE Kentucky Section, and “website” means kysite.org.

Your access to and continued use of this website, our third-party email and event platform, or our payment processor constitutes your acceptance of all of the provisions contained in this Privacy Policy and your consent to any action we take concerning your information that complies with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of the information obtained from you through electronic communications with you, whether general inquiries or otherwise, related to any of ITE Kentucky Sections’ services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information that we may collect from you by other means (including offline) or from other sources.

What Information Do We Collect and How Is It Used?

Personal Information: We may collect the following personal information to facilitate various transactions on our site. This may include:

  • Company or organization you are affiliated with

E-mail addresses are used to send member information, newsletters, purchase confirmations, PDH certificates, and to respond to general inquiry requests. They are not used for any other purpose and are securely stored with our third-party email service provider, Constant Contact.

Automatic Data Collection: As with most Internet sites, the website collects various technical data, including your IP address, domain, and web browser information. Technical data is used only to create broad demographic summaries of website usage and activity to assist us in providing useful content tailored to be of the most value to our users.

Cookies: Our website may use “cookies”. This technology allows users to move more quickly through our site. Cookies are small text files that a website uses to recognize repeat users and facilitate ongoing access to and use of the site. Generally, cookies assign a unique number to the user that has no meaning outside the assigned site. We do not share individual information with third parties outside of the ITE network, our secure payments processor, PayPal, and our secure email provider, Constant Contact. There are no other exceptions to this third-party non-disclosure policy, except as may be required by law.

However, complete confidentiality and security are not yet possible over the Internet. We assume no liability for any damages you may suffer as a result of interception, alteration, or misuse of information that is transmitted or collected over the Internet.

Limits For Collecting, Using, Disclosing, and Keeping Personal Information

We limit the type of mandatory information collected by us to only the personal information that is required to accomplish the identified purpose of providing our various member services, as well as responding to e-mail inquiries.

What rights do you have over your data?

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. You may also unsubscribe from our email communications using the link at the bottom of our emails.
